Agriculture
Agriculture is a professional undergraduate degree program
typically lasting four years, offered by Indian Universities to
students who have completed their 10+2 education, preferably with
a Science background. Admission to this program is primarily based
on entrance exams such as KEAM and EAMCET. In India, there are 42
State Agricultural Universities (SAUs), 1 Central Agricultural
University (CAU), 5 Deemed Universities (DUs), and 4 general
Central Universities offering Agriculture programs. These
institutions collectively offer admission in 11 different
disciplines at the undergraduate level, with approximately 15,000
students enrolling annually. Despite not being as popular among
students, there is a high demand for trained professionals in the
field of agriculture.
